The Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, announced a revision in the prices of petroleum products on Saturday, with an increase of Rs10 per litre in the price of petrol. Following this revision, the price of petrol has surged to Rs282.
During a late-night live address, the minister disclosed that the prices of diesel and light diesel oil would remain unchanged at Rs293 and Rs174.68, respectively. However, the price of kerosene was to be elevated by Rs5.78, bringing it to Rs186.07.
These revised prices will become effective from 12:00 AM on Sunday, as stated by the minister. In the beginning, the minister highlighted that petroleum product prices had soared in the international market over the past 15 days.
