Imran Khan asked if he's seen as a terrorist by the public

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan addressed a public gathering at Lahore's Minar-e-Pakistan, where he criticized the government for seeking a level-playing field that does not necessarily mean 'tying Imran Khan's hands.' He emphasized that he has faced numerous cases, including 40 terrorism cases, and the number has now grown to nearly 150. Despite this, he believes the nation will never believe he is a terrorist. Khan highlighted the importance of justice in achieving true freedom, and how the rule of law is essential to achieving that.

During his speech, Imran Khan praised his party's supporters for showing up at the rally's venue despite obstacles such as blocked roads and pathways. He added that fear was spread to frustrate the public meeting. However, Khan stressed that those in power must understand that they cannot stop people who want true independence.

The PTI organized the jalsa, or rally, despite the interim Punjab government's "threat alert" that terrorists might target political functions in the provincial capital. In response, the government placed containers on the way leading to Minar-e-Pakistan, leading to hurdles for people seeking to partake in the jalsa. While the government has said that people are not being restricted from attending the rally, law enforcement agencies were ensuring citizens' protection through these measures.

In addition, the police have arrested over 50 PTI workers from different areas of Rahim Yar Khan, while 26 workers including PTI leader Javed Akhtar Ansari's son were arrested in Multan. This move has sparked controversy, with some accusing the government of trying to intimidate opposition parties. Despite these challenges, Imran Khan and the PTI remain steadfast in their commitment to promoting their message of justice and freedom for all Pakistanis.
