Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has expressed his willingness to engage in discussions with all stakeholders. However, he stressed that no "illegal and unconstitutional demands" would be entertained during these talks. Speaking to senior journalists at his residence in Lahore, Imran reiterated his party's commitment to upholding the supremacy of the Constitution and safeguarding democracy. He emphasized that an independent judiciary and free and fair elections were essential for resolving the current crisis. Imran also highlighted the importance of a strong army for a strong nation and pledged to prioritize the rebuilding of the state institutions' image. The PTI chief rejected the notion that he was against the military establishment, stating that he considers both the country and the army as his own. Imran's remarks were made shortly after Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial called on political parties to initiate a dialogue. The Chief Justice expressed hope that the talks would yield positive results.
Imran Khan has announced his willingness to hold talks with all parties involved and clarified that any requests that are illegal or unconstitutional will not be entertained during such discussions.
